Breakroom service in Chamblee
City leaders credit Chamblee's growth to its role as a transportation hub, and the local economy still follows that pattern. DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, a county-owned general aviation field inside the city limits, is the second-busiest airport in Georgia by flight operations and is tied to an estimated 7,300 jobs. Peachtree Boulevard, renamed from Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, carries offices and big-box retail, while the Chamblee Motor Mile groups dealerships along Peachtree Road from I-285 to Clairmont Road. Buford Highway, which the DeKalb Chamber calls the International Corridor, is home to more than 1,000 immigrant-owned businesses, and the CDC's Chamblee campus on Buford Highway houses several of the agency's programs. Downtown, City Hall and the Chamblee MARTA station anchor a growing set of apartment and mixed-use buildings.
That spread of employers means no single breakroom setup fits Chamblee. A dealership service department or an aviation business at PDK has technicians, porters and customers moving through the same space, which is where an AI smart cooler works well: tap a card to open it, take what you want, and cameras and sensors charge automatically, with the door locked until someone pays. Government and office buildings with a larger, steady headcount can support a full micro market stocked with fresh meals. Apartment communities near the MARTA station can add an amenity market or cashless vending for residents, and smaller offices often just need office coffee and a pantry program.
VendGO is a locally owned company based in Alpharetta, and Chamblee sits right on our north DeKalb route. We install equipment at $0, handle service at $0, and respond within two hours when something needs attention. Every agreement is month-to-month with no long-term contract, and you can start with a two-month trial. Employees request new products by QR code and we fill those requests within 3 days, and employers can subsidize prices if they choose. You will always reach the owner, Trent Reynolds, or one of two dedicated account managers, never a call center.
